Whether you are saving up for the latest game-changing Archon, hunting down weapon refinements, or desperately building your pity count before an event banner vanishes, free Primogems are the ultimate currency in Teyvat. Gathering enough gems through chest hunting and questing can feel like a marathon, which is exactly why active Genshin Impact redeem codes are an absolute godsend for free-to-play travelers and big spenders alike.
HoYoverse regularly hands out promo codes during version update livestreams, milestone celebrations, brand partnerships, and surprise social media drops. These codes instantly reward you with free Primogems, Mora, Hero's Wit exp books, Mystic Enhancement Ore, and gourmet food buffs. To save you from digging through sketchy forums and expired lists, we have rounded up all the working codes, explained exactly how to claim them on every platform, and put together insider tips on how to never miss a batch of free gifts again.

Evergreen vs. Time-Limited Codes
It helps to know that Genshin Impact codes generally fall into two categories:
- Evergreen Codes: Standard promo codes like
GENSHINGIFTthat stay active almost indefinitely for new players or accounts that haven't claimed them yet. - Version Update & Event Codes: Codes released during bi-monthly patch livestreams or crossover promotions. These carry strict expiration timers and offer chunkier payouts—usually 300 Primogems split across three separate codes during livestream events.
How to Redeem Genshin Impact Codes on PC, Mobile, and Console
There are two fast, hassle-free ways to claim your freebies: via an external web browser or directly inside the game client. Before you attempt to redeem any code, keep in mind that your account must reach Adventure Rank 10 (AR 10) first. If you are brand new to Teyvat, simply breeze through the early Archon Quests in Mondstadt for an hour or two, and you will hit AR 10 in no time.
Method 1: Redeem via Official HoYoverse Website (Fastest Method)
This is by far the easiest route, especially if you are browsing promo codes on your phone or desktop computer while away from your gaming device:
- Head over to the official Genshin Impact Code Redemption Page.
- Log in using your HoYoverse account credentials (or the social account tied to your game profile).
- Select your designated server region (America, Europe, Asia, or TW/HK/MO). The site should automatically auto-fill your character's nickname.
- Copy one of the active promo codes from our list and paste it into the Redemption Code box.
- Click Redeem. If successful, a pop-up window will confirm your reward!
Method 2: Redeem Directly In-Game (PC, Mobile & PlayStation)
If you are already playing the game and don't feel like opening a web browser, you can claim codes right from the main menu screen:
- Boot up Genshin Impact on your PC, mobile device, PS4, or PS5.
- Open the Paimon Menu (press Esc on PC, tap the Paimon icon on mobile, or hit the Options button on PlayStation).
- Go to Settings (the gear icon on the left sidebar).
- Navigate down to the Account tab.
- Click or tap on Redeem Code (or 'Redeem Now').
- Paste or enter the active code into the text field and hit Exchange.
Once redeemed, your rewards won't drop straight into your bag. Instead, you need to open your in-game Mailbox (accessible through the Paimon menu) and click Claim All. Mail attachments stay valid for up to 30 days, so be sure to collect them before they disappear!
Where to Find New Genshin Impact Promo Codes Fast
If you want to keep your Primogem reserves stacked throughout the year, staying ahead of new code releases is key. HoYoverse distributes codes across several specific channels:
1. Version Special Program Livestreams
Every six weeks, HoYoverse hosts a Twitch and YouTube livestream showcasing upcoming character banners, region expansions, and story quests. During these broadcasts, three distinct promo codes flash on screen. Together, these grant:
- 300 Primogems
- 50,000 Mora
- 5x Hero's Wit
- 10x Mystic Enhancement Ore
Because these codes expire roughly 16 to 24 hours after the stream ends, setting a reminder on stream day or checking modern gaming hubs like Steamoz Guides right after the stream ensures you grab them before they lock up.
2. Official Social Media & HoYoLAB Events
HoYoverse frequently runs web events, fan-art contests, and follower milestone celebrations across their official Genshin Impact X (Twitter) channel and the HoYoLAB Community Platform. Checking in daily on HoYoLAB also grants automated login bonuses including Primogems, food buff items, and crafting ores.
3. Prime Gaming and Brand Collaborations
Periodically, HoYoverse collaborates with third-party platforms like Amazon Prime Gaming, Discord Nitro, or mobile carriers to hand out unique, single-use codes. If you subscribe to these services, make sure to check their perks sections regularly.
Expired Codes and How to Spot Phishing Scams
Few things are as frustrating as pasting a code only to get an error message. Below is a shortlist of recently expired codes that no longer work. If you see these posted on social media threads claiming to be active, don't waste your time:

Protecting Your Account from Primogem Scams
Because Primogems are so valuable, bad actors routinely set up fake code generator websites or phishing pages claiming to give out "10,000 Free Primogems Code!" Keep these golden security rules in mind:
- Never give out your password: Official code redemption only requires pasting a string of letters into the official portal or in-game menu. No legitimate site will ever ask for your password to process a reward code.
- Stick to official domains: Always verify that the web redemption URL ends with
hoyoverse.comormihoyo.com. - Avoid "Code Generator" software: There is no software tool on Earth that can hack HoYoverse servers to grant free Primogems. Downloading these tools almost always results in malware infection or account theft.
Maximizing Your Free Primogems in Teyvat
Redeem codes provide fantastic quick injections of funds, but relying strictly on promo codes won't buy you a full roster of 5-star characters. To keep a steady flow of pulls coming in without spending real money, build these daily and weekly habits:
1. Daily Commissions and HoYoLAB Check-in
Completing all four Daily Commissions in Mondstadt, Liyue, Inazuma, Sumeru, Fontaine, or Natlan gives you 40 Primogems. Talking to Katheryne in any nation's Adventurers' Guild to turn in your daily report awards an additional 20 Primogems, totaling 60 Primogems per day. Over a 30-day month, that amounts to 1,800 Primogems—over 11 free wishes!
2. Clearing Spiral Abyss & Imaginarium Theater
For end-game players, the Spiral Abyss (Floors 9 through 12) and Imaginarium Theater reset periodically, offering up to 800+ Primogems per rotation for max-star clears. If combat encounters give your setup trouble, tweaking your party compositions, optimizing artifact sets, and smoothing out frame performance can turn the tide. Check out our guide on how to fix Genshin Impact stuttering on PC to ensure smooth inputs during high-stakes Abyss runs.
3. Open-World Exploration & Achievements
Opening Common, Exquisite, Precious, and Luxurious chests across Teyvat consistently yields 2 to 10 Primogems each. Completing regional puzzles, leveling up the Statues of the Seven, unlocking Teleport Waypoints, and earning hidden achievements slowly stacks up hundreds of pulls over time.

Troubleshooting Code Redemption Errors
Encountering an issue when trying to claim your reward? Here are the most common error messages and how to fix them:
"Invalid Redemption Code"
This happens when there is a typo in the code string, extra spacing attached to the front or back during copying, or mixing up similar-looking letters and numbers (such as number 0 and letter O). Copy the text directly from a trusted source and make sure no trailing spaces are highlighted.
"This Code Has Expired"
The promo code has passed its end date set by HoYoverse. Version update livestream codes are infamous for this, as they close down rapidly within 24 hours of airing.
"Already Redeemed"
Each redeem code can only be claimed once per account/UID. If you redeemed a code via the website while tabbed out, your in-game Account settings page will display this message if you attempt to re-enter it.
"Character Level Too Low"
Your account has not yet unlocked the code redemption feature. Play through early story quests until your profile hits Adventure Rank 10, then try claiming the code again.
